Lopar is a peninsula located on Rab, an island with 4 bell towers. Formerly called Epario, Lopar has developed as a tourist destination. It is a favourite family destination, many recognize Paradise Beach as a perfect place for children, because of the fine sand and shallow water. For additional fun, right there in the shallows, you will find the possibility of renting a pedal boat, a water amusement park, and a large slide with a pool nearby. If you want to take a walk in the evening, a few meters away from the same beach, there is an amusement park for children with various activities and a room with automated games for older ones. There are several bars where you can drink coffee, sip cocktails, or enjoy a glass of wine with a view of the sea. Don't forget to visit some of the many restaurants to taste local cuisine. For those with a more adventurous spirit, Lopar offers appropriate sea and sports activities such as jet-skiing, boat and quad bike rental, parasailing, tennis, and mini golf. Be sure to book your trip by glass-bottomed boat to the waters of Lopar and the nearby islands, Goli Otok and Grgur. If you want to explore, Lopar offers another 21 beaches, 3 of which are nudist. If you like to stay in nature and explore new areas by walking, Lopar is the perfect place for you, because some beaches can be reached on foot, on a well-trodden path, through the forest itself and clean air... You won't find cafes, restaurants, and amusement parks there, but instead, you will find calm, clean, and untouched nature.

To guarantee fun, the tourist board of the municipality of Lopar often organizes all kinds of events, such as daily animation at Rajska beach, Livačina and Mel, outdoor theater performances, fishing festivals, sports tournaments, concerts, bicycle races, three-day Sand sculpture festival, Children's festival...come and have fun:)

Did you know?                                                              - Lopar is the birthplace of St. Marino, stonemason, and founder of the Republic of San Marino. In his honor, the tourist resort in Lopar was named San Marino.                                             - The island of Rab is one of the greenest islands in the Adriatic, it is also called the "emerald island"                                                                             - Lopar masquerades have nurtured the tradition for more than 150 years, Lopar is the only place on Rab with a specific carnival tradition and a unique mask (the masks are scary to scare the winter and invoke spring)
